MEET AMY

How my journey began…

In 2019, I realized I needed to change my career if I wanted to make the type of progress in my health I was striving for. Recognizing that many people were in similar situations, I wanted to offer support and guidance. Hearing "everything was normal" despite my symptoms was one of the most frustrating experiences of my life, and I knew I could help others avoid that same frustration.

Through my own healing process, I gained valuable knowledge that could benefit others and help them achieve better results more efficiently. This led me to enroll in an Integrative Nutrition Program, where I earned my certification in 2020.

As a Holistic Health Practitioner, I support clients by focusing on whole-body wellness. This approach involves looking at the interconnectedness of all systems within the body to understand the root cause of health issues and achieve optimal health and happiness. By exploring every aspect of a person's well-being, we can create a comprehensive plan that addresses their unique needs.

I accept HSA and FSA payments, making my services more accessible. Additionally, I have the capability to order functional lab testing, which provides valuable insights into a client's health and helps guide our approach to treatment and wellness strategies.

Here is a little peek into who I am and what I am all about! You may have been wondering what exactly a Holistic Health Practitioner does and how I landed here.

Hello there!

Let me explain . . .

In my early 30s, I began experiencing unusual symptoms that went beyond normal tiredness. I had brain fog, making it hard to focus, as well as arthritis in my hands and feet. Digestive problems and severe bloating became frequent, and my energy levels plummeted. I even noticed accelerated aging. Doctors initially dismissed my concerns as part of aging (despite being only 32), but my symptoms intensified over the years. I hoped desperately for improvement each morning, and despite eating healthy and exercising regularly, my health continued to decline.

After yet another round of tests showing normal results, I decided to take charge of my own health. That was the turning point in my journey. It took me years to understand what was happening and make significant progress, but I never gave up.

More About Me

I’m Amy, equal parts dog mom, chatty Kathy, and home-cooking enthusiast. If I’m not in the kitchen experimenting with my latest sourdough creation, I’m probably outside running through the woods, walking along Lake Michigan, or planning a getaway to the Smoky Mountains (or, let’s be honest, Italy).

Life is delightfully full with my two teenage boys and our Belgian Malinois mix, Layla, who keeps us all on our toes. I’ve been married for 19 years to the guy I met in a bar. He was the lead singer in a band, I was just out for the night…and here we are still connecting and growing as individuals and together all these years later.

I’m a firm believer that good food, deep laughter, and honest conversation can fix almost anything. My toxic traits? Oversharing (clearly), waking up before the sun, bourbon on the rocks, and Jalapeño Dill potato chips — in that order.

Around here, it’s all about slowing down, savoring the real stuff, and living life a little more intentionally.
